Whether you want to learn another language for travelling or working abroad, to develop yourself, to boost your career opportunities or to be a global citizen, learning English is the way to go. The English language dominates the business world, arts, culture, entertainment, social media and aviation. English is the number 1 language in international communication – and with 2 billion speakers world wide – it’s safe to say the English language is well worth learning. Experts say that by 2050 half the world will be speaking English, therefore you need English to communicate with the world!
Participating in English conversation lessons is a great way to improve your knowledge and understanding of the English language. This year the VUA offers intermediate (B1)- and advanced (B2) conversational courses. It goes without saying that flexibility and differentiation have a prominent place in the classroom, so students will be supported and challenged as needed.
During the lessons we will work both classically and in groups. The teaching methods and materials are varied and combine traditional teaching practices with games and activities to encourage and stimulate oral participation. Although the emphasis of the course is placed upon speaking- and conversational skills, attention will also be paid to listening- and reading skills. Grammar and vocabulary appropriate to the level will also be offered.
