Dutch as a Second Language for Highly Educated Non-Native Speakers (NT2)
Learn Dutch from A0 to B2
The Dutch course for non-native speakers (NT2) is designed for highly educated participants. This is an intensive course, and you are expected to complete your weekly homework (3–4 hours, depending on your study skills). This course is intended for students who have an excellent command of the English language. Dutch is the language of instruction, but explanations are mostly given in English.
Course levels are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The NT2 courses are language courses and do not prepare you for the civic integration exam.
You can take the NT2 State Exam (program I and/or II) or CNaVT-exam on your own initiative.

NT2 Dutch for Non-Native Speakers – Course Levels and Structure
- Admission requirements:
Higher vocational education (HBO) bachelor or university degree.
An excellent command of the English language. - Study load 3-4 hours a week.
- You will attend in-person lessons once a week on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening. For this, please refer to the relevant level.
- The course consists of 22 lessons, each 2.5 hours long. Class time: 19:00–21:30 with a break.
- The tuition fee amounts to €510 and will be collected in two installments.
- Group size is a minimum of 6 participants.
- If a course is full, you will be placed on a waiting list.
- If you want to register, a test is required to determine your level. This test is free on the Open Day. If you are unable to attend the Open Day, you need to make a separate appointment. The intake fee is €25.
